Ding Repairs

Dings are a part of the surfing life. It is unavoidable.

That slippery salt water makes your board magically slide out of your hands and you drop your baby right on the rail, the nose stuck too far over the parking stall lines and got crushed, or you just turn around to chat with a friend and boink. Not to mention what can happen when you get out in the water.

Here at Soto Surfcraft, we love building custom shapes, but we also love keeping your current quiver in the lineup as long as possible. Check out our ding repair prices* below. We’d love to help keep your favorite stick in the pumping surf.

How to Prepare Your Board for repairs

You’ve finally beat your board to the point where you just can’t avoid it any longer, it needs to be taken in and get it fixed.

Here are a few tips to help us out, and any other ding repair professional, and make your turnaround time that much faster.

  1. Remove all of the wax from the deck of your board. Wax makes the repair process that much messier, who would want some gross old wax permanently glassed onto your favorite board? Wax also covers dings that could be hidden on the deck.

  2. Remove the fins from the surfboard. Keep those precious babies safe with you at home.

That’s it. Super simple. Next, shoot us a text message and arrange a drop-off time.

We will also email you a detailed invoice going over all the work done to your board(s), in the email you’ll find a link allowing you to pay for your bill before even picking up the board. Cause who doesn’t want to save time and skip a stop at the bank?
